By overall acreage of land for sale, Michigan ranks 22nd. Internal data from Lands of America shows over $6 billion in land for sale in the Wolverine State. The total size of land for sale in Michigan is appromixately 404,000 acres. Of the 83 counties in the state, Oakland County had the most rural property and land for sale. There were 1,376 acres of sold land in Michigan recorded in November through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects a change in sales activity over data from the month before. The total value of this sold land and rural real estate was $5 million. The most land sales in the state last month were recorded in Hillsdale, Van Buren County. Along with public hunting lands, Michigan boasts over two million acres of private land managed as commercial forest for hunters to track white-tailed deer, elk, bear, grouse, and more.
