Lands of America data shows $747 million in land and rural real estate for sale for sale in Michigan. This represents 112,085 acres of Michigan land for sale. Of the 83 counties in Michigan, Marquette County had the most rural property and land for sale. The most expensive property listed for sale in Michigan on Lands of America recently was $8 million, although the median price for land and other rural acreage for sale in Michigan was $167,689. The average price of land for sale in Michigan was $316,098. There was 1,259 acres of sold land in Michigan recorded last month through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects an increase in sales activity over data from July 2018. The total value of this sold land and rural real estate was $5.0 million. Marquette County recorded the most land sales recently in the state. Along with public hunting lands, Michigan boasts over two million acres of private land managed as commercial forest for hunters to track white-tailed deer, elk, bear, grouse and more. Bounded by four Great Lakes, it's fair to say the fishing ain't bad, either. With numerous opportunities to hunt species including deer, boar and wild turkey, hunting land was the most common type of land for sale in Michigan. The state has also been ranked among the ten best states for the cost of living by U.S. News & World Report.
