The other 34 acres contains the beautiful grounds of the resort that has a 4 star restaurant, lodging quarters with 30 rooms/cabins, an indoor pool and a banquet hall.
The 34 acre resort area boasts several different options for lodging. There are 7 log cabins suites on the river that are 1,000 square feet and have a covered porch. They are literally feet from the river and you can tie your boat right up to the dock out front. Just behind these cabins are a group of 10 motel rooms that are all under one roof. Just beyond these motel rooms are 8 more individual log cabins that surround the banquet hall. Further out away from the water are 5 more log cabin suites that are tucked away in the woods.
The 160 acre pheasant hunting area is licensed as a pheasant hunting preserve. There is a lodge with sleeping quarters and a dog kennel on this property. There is also a sporting clays range for a warm-up before your hunt.
The 1,000 acre deer preserve is high fenced with a 10 ft fence that currently holds a herd of approximately 700 whitetail deer. This fence is state inspected every year. The fence was constructed in 1990 when the preserve opened. There is one hot wire strand around the bottom of the fence along the entire perimeter. There are three gates for entry into the preserve, one is operated by a remote control from your vehicle. There are several grass/alfalfa fields within the preserve and one 12 acre field is tiled. There are 10-12 new Shadow Box blinds throughout the property and another approximately 100 wooden ground blinds, some useable, some not. Two of the ground blinds are handicapped accessible.
