The Michigan Tracy Mine For Sale - Located just south-east of the City of Negaunee in Marquette County. All of the underground mines that were the backbone of Marquette Range iron ore production for over a century, are now closed. The Tracy mine closed in 1971, and two large buildings are available for a new use. The 90,000 Square Foot Main Building has heavy I-Beam reinforcement with concrete block and brick veneer, with 26-foot ceilings. It has an open machine shop, mezzanine, warehouse, work areas, and 20 separate offices. The shop areas have conveyer gallery piers, an overhead (10 Ton) crane,retainer walls and hydrants. The 90x290 basement is accessible through a drive-ramp, and elevator large enough to move automobiles between floors. A 100x150 foot paved parking area is by the main entrance, and large overhead entrance and loading dock are found on the back and side. To the west is the two-story, 15,000 Square Foot Engine House Building, which was used to house engines for transporting miners. It is also a steel reinforced, concrete block and veneer building. This building has 35-footceilings, and houses an overhead (30 Ton) crane. 3-Phase Electrical Power is available in both buildings Note: Off Four-lane Class-A Highway; Rail Trackage still runs through the property - service could be provided by L.S. and I. Railroad Company, or Canadian National Railroad Company; Sawyer International Airport is 19 miles away |

From the L'Anse Welcome Sign take US41 south 51 miles to Negaunee,Teal Lake Avenue. Take right and go about 1/2 mile to "T" at Main Street. Take a left and go three blocks to Healy Street. Take a right and go three blocks to County Road 480. Take a left and go about 1 mile to New Buffalo Road. Take a right and go about one mile to private road on right - just before the rail road tracks. Take a right and go to locked gate.
